Biography

Biography

Martijn Dietze obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Astronomy from the Utrecht University. During his Bachelor's, he enrolled in an exchange year at the Australian National University and performed his thesis partly at DESY, Hamburg. He obtained his Master’s degree in Particle Physics from the University of Amsterdam. During his Master's, he participated in the summer school of CERN, Geneva and performed his thesis on proton radiography at Nikhef, Amsterdam. In 2020, he successfully defended his PhD thesis “Technical Development of Interventional Nuclear Imaging” under the supervision of prof. Hugo de Jong, prof. Max Viergever, and prof. Marnix Lam. He continued as a Postdoctoral Researcher and later as Assistant Professor in the Medical Physics group of the Radiology and Nuclear Medicine department to realize the clinical implementation of interventional nuclear imaging.
